I am a writer, a white Italian-American Southerner, a teacher, an academic, a filmmaker, an artist. I am an intermittently queer-identified recovering Southern Baptist. I build furniture. I live with cats. I am sometimes mean. I am a very good friend. I am a sci-fi geek. I anthropomorphize my Tivo. My grandmother is my hero. My brother is my best friend. I’ve never been to any continent but North America. I love Twizzlers. I go to pagan festivals. I alphabetize my books. I am the daughter of a carpenter and a secretary. I would be a tattoo artist if I could draw and wasn’t afraid of needles. I am bossy. I am interested in everything.
